Police investigating wounding at Kelvin Grove

Detectives are investigating an alleged unlawful wounding at Kelvin Grove overnight.

It will be alleged at 9.35pm two men attended a Tait Street unit wearing masks and carrying a knife and a crow bar.

They hit the 39-year-old male resident in the head and demanded money.

A struggle ensured during which one of the masked men was allegedly struck several times in the head and neck with a knife.

Both men then fled the scene in a Mitsubishi Lancer been driven by a woman.

Police located the Lancer a short time later in Stafford and the two men were transported to hospital with non-life threatening facial and neck injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
