Police lay charges – Domestic Violence in Darwin 26 June

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a domestic violence related assault in Darwin City last week.

Around 10pm on Friday, 26 June 2023, police received reports of a disturbance at a service station on McMinn Street, Darwin City.

Upon emergency services arrival, a 30-year-old female was located nearby, with lacerations to her back.

The victim was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital, where she received medical treatment and was released a short time later.

A 32-year-old man was arrested nearby and has since been charged by police with breach Domestic Violence Order and related violence offences.

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
