Police lay charges over unlawful entry in Darwin 14 February

Northern Territory Police have charged two men in relation to an unlawful entry at a business in Darwin City last week.

At around 1am on 10 February, three offenders allegedly unlawfully entered a licensed business on Mitchell Street. The trio allegedly stole a quantity of alcohol. Minutes later, one of the offenders returned and stole further alcohol before fleeing the scene.

Police CCTV operators were able to identify the vehicle that was used by the offenders to flee.

Two males were arrested by detectives from Strike Force Trident on 10 February and have since been charged.

A 19-year-old male was charged with:

  • Damage to property
  • Aggravated unlawful entry (building, night)
  • Stealing

He was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court tomorrow.

A 52-year-old male was charged with:

  • Damage to property
  • Aggravated unlawful entry (building, night)
  • Stealing

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Investigations are ongoing.
