A 35-year-old man will appear in court today after he was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery relating to an incident last night, Saturday 3 August 2019.
It is alleged about 10.35pm, the man entered a service station located on Albany Highway in Kelmscott and declared to staff that this was an armed robbery and demanded cash.
A member of the public in the forecourt of the service station saw what was happening and called police. The staff were also able to trigger the doors to close.
Police arrived and the man was taken into custody.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 4 August 2019.
