Police make arrest – Bandidos OMCG associate Logan Village

Police have charged two people on sixteen drug, firearm, and property related offences as part of an operation targeting the distribution of methylamphetamine throughout the Logan District.

Operation Tango Magnitude involved detectives from Maxima South East Region, the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch and the Brisbane Dog Squad.

The arrest followed the execution of two search warrants yesterday at a business address in Logan Village and a residential address at Flagstone.

During the searches, police located and seized quantities of methylamphetamine and cannabis. Police also seized weapons including two handguns one of which was loaded, a semi-automatic rifle, a flick knife, knuckle dusters and ammunition. Police also seized a stolen Ducati Motorcycle stolen from a Nerang business.

Those arrested include a 38-year-old Flagstone man and associate of the Bandidos OMCG, charged with two counts of unlawfully possessing a dangerous drug, possession of utensils, unlawfully possession of category H and M weapons, possession of explosives, failure to comply with a direction, possession of tainted property and unlawfully possession of a motorcycle. He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today (November 3).

A 27-year-old Flagstone woman was also charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, possession of utensils, possession of a category M weapon, failure to comply with a direction, possession of tainted property and unlawful possession of a motorcycle. She is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on December 15.

Maxima SER Operations Leader, Detective Senior Sergeant Troy Lehmann said the charges reflect Maxima’s targeting of OMCG members and their associates involved in serious criminal offences.

“Using a business premises to conceal criminal activity will not avoid our attention, we work closely with the community and industry to identify such activity and we will take every opportunity to ensure we disrupt and prevent your offending to uphold community safety.
