Police make arrest over unlawful entry in Alice Springs 7 October

A man who broke into a licensed premises in Alice Springs has been arrested and charged by Northern Territory Police.

It will be alleged the 38-year-old man and a 14-year-old male unlawfully entered a licensed premises on Gap Road in the early hours of 18 August 2020.

The pair were attempting to leave with alcohol when they were disturbed by owners who were at the scene following a separate unlawful entry at the premises which had occurred hours earlier.

The youth who was identified by Detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigation Branch, has been summonsed to appear before court on one count of Unlawful Entry.

Detectives arrested the man at a Sadadeen residence yesterday. He has been charged with one count of Unlawful Entry and will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court at a later date
