A 23-year-old man has been charged in relation to an incident that occurred in Subiaco on Friday 23 July 2021.
At 6.55pm, a woman in her 20s was running along the footpath/bike path on Subiaco Road adjacent to the train line.
It will be alleged the man grabbed the woman from behind causing a struggle to ensue. They both fell to the ground, where the woman punched the man and ran away.
A 23-year-old from East Perth has been charged with:
– Assault occasioning bodily harm
– Impeded another person’s normal breathing or blood circulation by applying pressure to neck
– Deprivation of liberty
He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday 13 August 2021.
