Police make arrests after break-in at Munno Para West, South Australia

Two have been arrested after a house break and the theft of two cars in the early hours of this morning at Munno Para West.

Just before 4am on Thursday 3 December, Northern District patrols were called to Librandi Street after reports of a house break-in and the theft a car.

Police were quickly on scene and set up cordons. The stolen white Hyundai sedan was spotted travelling on Curtis Road and then south onto Main North Road.

Further enquiries revealed a second car, a silver Mazda 3 sedan, was also stolen from the property.

Both stolen cars were dumped on Corton Street and the suspects attempted to flee the scene on foot.

Patrols located the suspects a short distance away on Shaftesbury Road where they were arrested without incident.

A 32–year-old man from no fixed address and a 43–year-old woman from Munno Para were charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, illegal use and driving disqualified. They were both refused police bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
