Police release CCTV footage after armed robbery in Wyee

Police have released CCTV as they investigate an armed robbery at Lake Macquarie yesterday.

About 7.30am (Tuesday 9 July 2019), two men entered a service station on Wyee Road, Wyee, with one armed with what’s believed to be a small handgun.

The pair demanded cash and cigarettes from the 25-year-old male attendant, before fleeing the scene in an early 2000s model silver Toyota Avalon on Munmorah Street, Wyee.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District attended a short time later and established a crime scene.

Police have released CCTV footage of two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

They are described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 18 to 25, with a medium height and build. They were both dressed in dark clothing.

Police also want to speak to the driver of the silver sedan.
