Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Birnam 27 July

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a car and motorcycle at Birnam, in the Scenic Rim, yesterday afternoon, 26 July.

At approximately 12.53pm, a Harley Davidson motorcycle collied with a Ford Falcon utility on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old Beaudesert man, sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the utility, a 22-year-old Wonglepong man, was transported to Logan hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with relevant dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
