Police are investigating a fatal truck crash near Goondiwindi this morning.
At 3.30am, emergency services were called to the Gore Highway at Wyaga following reports a truck had left the roadway before it caught fire.
The road was closed in both directions while the flames were extinguished.
One person has been located deceased inside the vehicle and officers are working to confirm the person’s identity.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and are appealing for anyone with relevant dashcam footage of the area at the time to make contact.
