Police responding to serious traffic crash at Amby

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single vehicle crash which critically injured a woman and seriously injured two men at Amby near Mitchell early this morning (Saturday May 28).

Just before 1am police were called to a single vehicle rollover involving a white Toyota Landcruiser utility on the Warrego Highway at Amby, east of Mitchell.

Initial investigations indicate the force of the crash caused the three occupants to be thrown from the vehicle.

A 19-year-old Roma woman suffered critical injuries and was transported to Mitchell Hospital before being airlifted to a Brisbane hospital in a critical condition.

A 25-year-old Roma man suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mitchell Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 22-year-old Roma man, who initially left the scene before returning, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mitchell Hospital in a stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
