Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Oakleigh man Jose Vallejos.
The 73-year-old was last seen at his Devon Grove home about 5pm this evening.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age and as he has dementia.
Investigators have been told Jose has trouble remembering places and trouble communicating due to his dementia.
Police have released an image of Jose in the hope that someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.
He is described as being 170cm tall with a thin build brown eyes, and black hair.
Anyone who sights Jose or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Oakleigh Police Station on 9567 8900.
