Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a domestic violence incident in Winnellie yesterday afternoon.
Around 5:30pm, police responded to reports that a 40-year-old man had been assaulted with an edged weapon in front of a business along the Stuart Highway.
The victim suffered injuries to his hand and was conveyed to hospital to receive treatment.
A 37-year-old female, known to the man, has been taken into custody.
The incident remains under investigation.
Detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Unit are calling for anyone with further information, particularly if you have dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444.
