Police seek information on Pedestrian strike in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police conducting enquiries in relation to a possible domestic violence incident in which a woman was struck by a vehicle in Alice Springs overnight.

At 12:27am a woman was walking towards a convenience store on Gap Road when a vehicle, allegedly driven by a person known to her, entered the carpark and struck her.

The woman was briefly pinned against another parked vehicle before the driver reversed and fled the scene.

The woman suffered lower body injuries and was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

Detectives from the Alice Springs CIB have identified a blue sedan as a vehicle of interest.

Investigations are continuing in relation to the identity of the driver, with the woman’s current partner identified as a person of interest.
