Police seek information: Serious assault in Logan Village, QLD

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch have released the image of a man as they appeal for information to the violent assault of a 76-year-old man in Logan Village on Sunday (6 February).

Initial investigations indicate just before 7pm, the 76-year-old man was involved in a physical altercation with another man near a Camp Cable Road residence.

The victim sustained serious head and chest injuries during the altercation before fleeing the property towards Camp Cable Road.

The man was treated at the scene and taken to Logan Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or driven along Camp Cable Road, Logan Village at the time or has dash camera footage to please come forward.

In particular, detectives have also released a photo of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as Caucasian in his late 20s with a slim build, 174cm in height, light brown hair, and blue eyes.

The man or anyone who may know his whereabouts are asked to come forward to police.
