Police seek public assistance after fatal crash in Woodpark

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man died following a serious crash in Sydney’s west yesterday.

Just after 11.30am (Friday 22 October 2021), emergency services were called to the intersection of Warren Road and Liverpool-Parramatta Transitway at Woodpark, after reports of a serious crash involving a bus and a car.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The driver and sole occupant, a 25-year-old man from Woodpark, died at the scene.

The bus driver, a 58-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigations Unit.

An investigation has commenced into the circumstance surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
