Police seek witnesses – Domestic violence – Malak

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man after multiple domestic violence related assaults in Malak overnight.

Around 8pm, it is alleged an 18-year-old man assaulted his female partner at a residence in Boucaut Crescent, Malak.

The incident allegedly resulted in an altercation between a 20-year-old man and the 18-year-old. Both men have assaulted each other with both edged and blunt weapons.

The 18-year-old and the female victim were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for medical treatment while the 20-year-old was arrested and is currently assisting police with inquiries.

A crime scene has been declared and detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Unit are currently investigating.

Further arrests and charges are expected.
