Police are appealing for public assistance following an incident in Hallam earlier this month.
Investigators have been told a white Daihatsu Delta truck rammed a Blue Mitsubishi Pajero on Belgrave-Hallam Road about 2.25pm on 10 April.
Both drivers got out of their cars and were involved in a physical altercation near the Monash off-ramp.
The driver of the Daihatsu was stabbed during the incident and taken to hospital.
Officers are keen to speak with the driver of the Pajero and have released a facial composite of this man along with the clothing he was wearing.
