Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fire believed to have been deliberately lit in Keysborough on 3 October.
Investigators have been told three young boys used fence palings to light a small fire next to a walking track between Solsbury Crescent and Sunflower Street about 2.30pm.
The three boys are perceived to be of Middle Eastern appearance, aged between 11 to 15 years and wearing dark shorts and t-shirts.
