Arson Squad detectives are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Maddington on Thursday 29 July 2021.
Around 9.30pm a lit flare at the rear of a residence located in Bryce Court. It landed under the rear alfresco area and ignited outdoor furniture before the resultant fire caused around $200,000 damage to the house and contents.
The resident was home with her two children at the time of the incident and they all managed to escape the house unharmed.
Police are seeking any dash-cam or CCTV of the area prior to 9.30pm or information on any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
