Police update: Armed robbery in Toowoomba East, QLD

Police have charged a man after he allegedly robbed a pharmacy in Toowoomba East yesterday.

It will be alleged around 5.45pm, a man entered a pharmacy on Margaret Street with his face covered. He threatened staff with a knife and left with a quantity of prescription drugs.

A 32-year-old Newtown man has been charged with face disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and assault.

He will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow, October 11.
