Police update: Fatal traffic crash at Brighton

Forensic Crash Unit investigators have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a fatal motorcycle crash at Brighton last weekend.

Around 7:45pm on Saturday, April 18, a motorcyclist was travelling on Nathan Road when it struck a powerpole. A 49-year-old man died while a 36-year-old woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A silver or light blue sedan was seen travelling in the area and may have witnessed the crash.

Investigators do not believe the car was involved in the incident.

Police are appealing to the car’s driver, or anyone else who was in the area or may have dashcam footage, to come forward.
