Police update: Hit and run crash at Gympie

Crash investigators are seeking assistance to identify a driver believed to be involved in a hit and run crash at Gympie on Friday, November 5.

Around 10pm, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Hilton Road.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene and a 21-year-old man remains in a critical condition at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

A white Toyota Prado was seen driving west along Perseverance Street shortly after the crash. It is believed the driver could assist with ongoing investigations.

The car may also have damage to the left headlight and side mirror.

Anyone with information about the car, or the identity of the driver, is encouraged to come forward and speak with police.
