Police update: Man arrested after robbery at St Clair bottle-o, South Australia

Police have arrested a man following a robbery at a St Clair bottle shop on Tuesday.

About 5.10pm on Tuesday 12 January, police will allege a man pulled up to a bottle shop on Cheltenham Parade on a black push bike with straight handle-bars. He entered the store and picked up three bottles of alcohol. When he was challenged by a staff member he allegedly stated he was in possession of a gun. A firearm was not seen and no one was physically injured.

The man placed the bottles in his bag and left the area on the push bike and was last seen riding south on Cheltenham Parade.

Yesterday (Wednesday 13 January), Western District Detectives attended a Findon address and arrested a 38-year-old local man. He was charged with committing theft using force and he is expected to be refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
