Police update: Operation Romeo Seville

Police in Townsville continue to target known repeat offenders and emerging high risk crime areas.

Operation Romeo Seville commenced on Tuesday October 22 to prevent, detect and prosecute individuals who participate in crime and because of a reported increase in property offences across the Townsville District.

A 19-year-old Vincent man has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and has been remanded in custody untill December 17.

An 11-year-old Rasmussen boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will be appearing in the Townsville Children’s court on October 30.

A 19-year-old Vincent man has been charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of stealing, one count of armed robbery, enter dwelling with intent, burglary and commit indictable offence, dangerous operation of a vehicle whilst adversely affected, serious assault, obstruct police and two counts of trespass. He appeared in the Townsville Magistrates Court today and has been remanded in custody.

A 21-year-old Heatley woman has been charged with seven counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, three counts of stealing and one count of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle. She was further charged with unrelated matters including one count of burglary, receive tainted property and fraud. She appeared in the Townsville Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody.

A 13-year-old Kelso boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and appeared in the Townsville Magistrates Court today and has been remanded in custody.

A 12-year-old Heatley girl has been charged with one count each of enter and commit, stealing, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and shop stealing.
