Police have located the body of a 28-year-old man, as a result of a search operation at Port Alma today, Sunday April 3.
Initial investigations indicate the man fell overboard when the boat he was on struck an object in waters off Port Alma near Rockhampton, at approximately 7.30am.
An extensive search operation was launched utilising water police, Coast Guard, the RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter, police divers, members of the public and other agencies.
At approximately 5pm, the body of the missing man was located.
Police will investigate the circumstances of the incident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
