Police update: Serious traffic crash at Bray Park

A 17-year-old girl has died in hospital following a single vehicle traffic crash in Bray Park earlier this week.

At 7pm on Tuesday, August 11, a white Impreza sedan left the road and crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Old North and Lavarack roads.

The teenager, who was a passenger, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she died yesterday.

The 17-year-old female driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for observation.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and is asking for anyone who may have witnessed the event or who may have dash cam vision, to contact police.
