Our Community Investment Grants and Sponsorships opened on Wednesday 13 July 2023 and aim to support community organisations by funding the delivery of services and programs that help enhance community wellbeing and connection across the Peninsula.
Last year Anglicare Victoria’s Rosebud office was successful in securing funding through our Community Investment Program, which saw them delivering several family and community wellbeing programs to our community.
One of these programs was designed for parents and carers who had been impacted by family violence during Covid, providing families with important skills around supporting their child’s development and how they can best respond to any concerns they may have with anxiety, relationships and engagement with school and community.
Feedback from the program was overwhelmingly positive with one parent saying just how grateful they were for programs like this existing. This parent had not had any formal supports for their experience of family violence, felt that they were instantly supported by the group and loved having other family violence survivors to share their experiences with.
