PSPA declaration at Clinton, QLD

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to a police incident at Clinton in Gladstone this afternoon.

The declaration was made just after 3:20pm with boundaries encompassing Aerodrome Road and Pashley Street.

Officers attended an address within the exclusion zone around 11:40am this morning, with specialist police currently negotiating with a man at the address.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area, and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
