Public appeal: Attempted robbery in Wilsonton, QLD

Police are investigating the attempted robbery of a business in Wilsonton overnight.

Around 3.30am a Taylor Street business was broken into by three offenders, who removed part of an ATM but failed to retrieve any money from inside.

The trio stole a number of drinks before fleeing in a stolen white Toyota Prado with Queensland Registration 686TUR. Significant damage was caused to the entry of the business during the robbery.

The offenders faces were obscured by clothing, one was wearing a light coloured hooded jumper with black tracksuit pants, another was wearing a black adidas jumper with white stripes along the sleeves with black pants and another was wearing a black hoodie with light coloured shorts and white shoes.

Detectives located the abandoned vehicle in Harris Street, Toowoomba early this morning.

Investigators are appealing to the driver of a two-door utility with canopy (pictured) seen driving near the stolen vehicle around the time of the attempted robbery to come forward. Local residents and businesses are asked to check CCTV or dashcam between 3am-4am and contact police.
