Police are appealing to the public for assistance as part of their investigation into a shooting incident on a Pacific Motorway at Loganholme on Monday, September 16.
Around 7.40am, a man was driving his Toyota Kluger station-wagon southbound along the Pacific Motorway, between Beenleigh Redland Bay Road and the Logan Motorway exit, when a red Holden Cruze hatchback, bearing Queensland registration plates “351 WXT”, braked abruptly in front of his vehicle and almost came to a stop.
The man merged to the right of the hatchback and when passing it; heard a loud bang.
The man then took Exit 31 and as the hatchback continued along the Pacific Motorway, passing the exit, the driver heard another loud bang.
Upon inspecting his Kluger the following day, the man located two small holes consistent with bullet-holes (pictured).
Subsequent police investigations located two projectiles within the rear framework of the Kluger.
The red hatchback (pictured) was later located burnt out on Zipfs Road at Redland Bay around 10pm the next night (Tuesday, September 17).
Police urge anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.
