Qantas Frequent Flyers will have access to thousands more Classic Reward seats with the airline operating dozens of dedicated domestic and international Points Planes throughout 2027, including to popular destinations like Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Vancouver.
Every available seat across First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy will be open for booking as a Classic Reward seat, with Points Planes flying every month of the year as part of an ongoing series.
The first Points Planes are available to book from today, with 10 return services (20 flights in total). These flights will include Tokyo during the peak snow season in January, Paris in time for Valentine’s Day in February, and Hobart during the school holidays.
Qantas was the first airline in the world to introduce Points Planes in 2019, with premium cabin seats on that inaugural flight selling out in minutes. The concept has since been replicated by other loyalty programs globally.
Qantas Loyalty and Customer CEO Andrew Glance said the year-long series was designed to give members even more opportunities to fly with points.
“We know how much our members value using their points on travel. Around 10 reward seats are booked every minute, and this series expands availability over and above the five million Classic Reward seats members can book today,” said Mr Glance.
“Across the year, we’ll be launching Points Planes to some of the most sought-after destinations on our network. Some of these flights will be operated by our Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 aircraft, offering members the chance to lock in that dream trip travelling in Business or First.
“We’ve seen double-digit growth in new Qantas Points-earning credit cards issued in the last three months, alongside huge appetite to earn through retail and insurance. As more members build their points balances, we want the seats to be there when they are ready to book them.”
Members redeemed their points on 10 million rewards in FY26, including a record number on flights. In addition to these dedicated Points Planes, members can book Classic and Classic Plus Reward seats to more than 1,300 destinations with Qantas and over 30 partner airlines.

- Members can book through the Qantas App and qantas.com as each series release goes live.
