Queensland’s strong COVID-19 border protection system now includes applications for a Border Declaration Pass, except for visitors who have been in Victoria in the past 14 days – an important economic boost as Queensland carefully welcomes travellers from other states.
As of July 10 there remain two active cases, 1057 recovered and a total of 1068.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the border restrictions also involved mandatory testing.
“Anyone who is coming into Queensland, if you feel sick, you must get tested immediately. That’s part of the border declaration, mandatory testing,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
“Opening our borders to states and territories that do not have community transmission will be a huge boost for the Queensland economy as part of our job-creating plan to unite and recover from the worldwide damage of COVID-19.”

- 520 projects will be funded from the $200 million COVID Works for Queensland program.
- A new round of $150 Fair Play vouchers is ready for families to meet the cost of sport.
- Thousands of jobs in pubs and clubs will be better protected with gaming taxes deferred.
- Planning law changes and red tape reduction will keep projects moving during COVID.
- The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is open again to boost tourism and events.
