Queensland man ordered to leave Mount Panorama after conducting burnout, NSW

A man has been issued an infringement notice and instructed to leave the Mount Panorama precinct after conducting a burnout at a campsite at Bathurst.

About 3.30pm on Monday (7 October 2019), a 49-year-old Queensland man allegedly conducted a burnout in a Ford utility at a campground on Mount Panorama.

Officers from Operation Bathurst 1000 became aware of the incident after a video was uploaded to social media. It depicts the vehicle conducting a burnout over a sealed bitumen roadway and the adjacent grassed areas.

About 4pm on Tuesday (8 October 2019), police identified the campsite where they located the vehicle and the male driver.

The man was instructed to leave Mount Panorama and his passes were revoked.

He was issued an infringement notice of operate vehicle to cause driving wheel(s) to undergo sustained loss of traction.
