The ultimate festival of wheels, Red CentreNATS (RCN), gets pulses racing each year in Alice Springs, and you can see all the action for yourself with spectator tickets now on sale.

Now in its ninth year, the festival, delivered by Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC) and event partner Summernats, attracts thousands of people to the Red Centre for three days of heart-thumping action, including burnouts, 4WDing, drag racing, the Yeperenye Shopping Centre street parade and Lasseters Motorkhana.

Some of the most unique vehicles in Australia will be on show, with spectators able to enjoy all sorts of four- and two-wheeled antics, as well as meet the owners behind the cars at the Shannons Show ‘n’ Shine, a fan favourite.

Red CentreNATS continues to grow, offering more attractions for spectators and entrants alike. New this year is the Motorvation Supercruise, which gives every entrant the opportunity to power skid their way down the Alice Springs Inland Dragway. Another first is the new Platinum Pass, which includes a souvenir ticket, VIP area at the Podium Party, reserved parking, express entry and a merch kit.

Independent research found last year’s RCN generated a total expenditure stimulus in the Northern Territory of $6.9 million. A huge 90 per cent ($6.2 million) of this was new money that would not have been injected into the Territory economy if the event had not taken place.

RCN is unique as being the only place in Australia where you can legally drive your highly modified vehicle on the roads, and the spectacle continues all weekend as drivers cruise the streets in their souped-up rides.

RCN will take place from September 1-3. Early-bird tickets start at just $35 and can be purchased at www.redcentrenats.com.au [https://www.redcentrenats.com.au/]
