How will Launceston manage its waste into the future? How can we better predict and prepare for floods in low lying parts of the city? How can we improve the health of kanamaluka / the Tamar River Estuary?

The City of Launceston is holding a Resilient City Symposium on Saturday, June 29 at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk to explore these and other topics.

Guest speakers will include Tasmania Police Northern Commander Brett Smith, NRM Director Dr Rebecca Kelly, and Just Waste Consulting Director Justin Jones.

The Resilient City Symposium is part of the City of Launceston’s 2019 community consultation program, which is exploring six themes aimed at gauging ideas on how Launceston can be a more resilient, well designed, prosperous, accessible and sustainable city into the future.
