Rewarding careers for strong communities

Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Education and Training

The Tasmanian majority Liberal Government is committed to providing opportunities to help Tasmanians access skills they need for life and for work.

We know that getting more Tasmanians into work is vital to maintaining our strong economic momentum, and a rewarding career is important for the emotional, financial and social wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Up to $3.7 million is now available through the next rounds of our successful Skills Fund and the Adult Learning Fund to provide career pathways for Tasmanians who are facing barriers to employment or to help existing workers gain new skills.

Both programs focus on sectors including tourism and hospitality, building and construction, advanced manufacturing, ICT, aged and disability services, agriculture and aquaculture, and transport and logistics.

Applications close on Tuesday, 31 March 2020.
