Rider Dies After Crash – West Wollongong

A motorcycle rider has died after a multi-vehicle crash on the state’s South Coast.

About 11am today (Sunday 10 November 2024), emergency services were called to the northbound side of the Princes Highway, West Wollongong, following reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and two cars.

The rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Officers attached to Wollongong Police District have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The driver of a car – a 24-year-old woman – was not injured, and has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Her passengers – a 52-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man – were not injured.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with the driver of a Silver Ford ute, who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The ute was last seen travelling north on the Princes Highway, West Wollongong, about 11am today.
