Robbery with violence in Forest Lake, QLD

Detectives are appealing for public assistance following the robbery of a 24-year-old man in Forest Lake last night.

At 8.30pm the man was waiting at a bus stop when he was approached by five people.

The group engaged the man in conversation before circling him and assaulting him until he fell to the ground.

The man was then robbed of his mobile phone before the group fled the area.

He was transported to the Mater Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening cuts and abrasions.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from Joseph Banks Avenue between 8.30 and 9pm to contact them.
