Schneider Electric, a leader of the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the 100-year anniversary of its innovative TeSys motor control and management solution.

Since its inception, TeSys has set the standard for industry-leading protection, featuring built-in arc flash safeguards and comprehensive cybersecurity measures to ensure unparalleled reliability. With a century of expertise in protection relays, TeSys is designed for easy installation, complete with advanced connectivity, and digital tools that streamline daily operations.

Harnessing digitisation and electrification, TeSys motor control solutions enable efficient load and source management, in addition to preventative maintenance to reduce the total cost of ownership for customers and end-users. The product also provides a holistic lifestyle solution that facilitates advanced asset management and energy efficiency.

All units are equipped with the isolation, protection and emergency handling required to comply with international codes. High-contrast covers identify safety-critical devices to prevent inadvertent manual operation, and every contractor is mechanically linked and fitted with mirror contacts for safety applications and wherever auxiliary contact state reliability is essential.

“At Schneider Electric, we are providing our customers with access to advanced and reliable products. For over a century, we have continued to innovate the TeSys systems with our partners’ needs at the forefront of our design approach,” said Farokh Ghadially, Vice President of Power Products and Digital Power at Schneider Electric.

Electricity accounts for more than 90% of the total lifetime cost of ownership for a typical industry motor. With soaring energy bills and carbon emissions, managing electric motor efficiency and sustainably is critical to the success of manufacturers, water, and wastewater utilities around the world.

As businesses strive to implement new best practices, they face challenges in meeting sustainability requirements. Energy volatility is prompting urgent reconsideration of energy management strategies, and rising standards intensify pressure to reduce carbon emissions and environmental impacts.

“TeSys motor control solutions have been strategically developed to enhance the engineering experience, cutting time and complexity without compromising on functionality. Now, customers have access to products that provide increased machine reliability with lower maintenance costs,” concludes Ghadially.

As Schneider Electric embarks on the second century of TeSys innovation, the company aims to continue its journey in providing solutions for partners that reduce carbon footprint, and improve energy efficiencies.
