The NSW Senior’s Festival is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Hawkesbury Library Service is joining in with the celebrations by hosting a Garden Party at the Deerubbin Centre, Windsor on Thursday, 21 March 2024 from 10am.
The wider NSW Senior’s Festival www.nsw.gov.au/arts-and-culture/seniors-festival will run from 11 March to 24 March 2024 with the theme ‘Reach Beyond’. It celebrates the role and contributions of older adults in our community.
The Garden Party will be held in the grounds of the Deerubbin Centre, with morning tea provided, information stalls, giveaways, games, and live music to entertain. Hawkesbury Library Service is encouraging older members of the Hawkesbury community to Reach Beyond their comfort zone to do something a little bit different, make new friends or catch up with old friends, over a game of giant chess.
The free event will be held at the Deerubbin Centre garden, 300 George Street, Windsor, which is just outside Hawkesbury Central Library.
