Small Business Grants Inject Millions into Economy

NT Government

More than $6 million has been generated into the Territory economy thanks to the Territory Labor Government’s Small Business Pivot Grant and Small Business CX Grant.

To date, over $2.2 million in funding has been paid out and more than 290 vouchers have been issued to Territory businesses to enhance their products and services.

The schemes were introduced in the Jobs First Plan as part of Budget 2020.

The grants have helped local businesses adapt and improve their capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has helped keep the economy ticking over.

The initiatives have also generated millions of dollars of work for the construction industry.

The Small Business Pivot Grant focused on building and supporting businesses with improving their digital capabilities, and using technology to improve their presence and profitability.

Grants of up to $10,000 were available to businesses, on a 50:50 co-contribution basis.

The Small Business CX Grant was designed to enhance customer experience and address front of house improvements for customers.

Grants of up to $20,000 were available to businesses, on a 50:50 co-contribution basis.
