Stay safe on roads this Easter

When out and about for Easter or commemorating Anzac Day, please keep road safety top of mind.

Fatigue is one of the big three killers on NSW roads

Being awake for 17 hours or more has a similar effect on your driving as a blood alcohol content of 0.05.

Whether you’re heading away over these holidays or enjoying our local area – get a good night’s sleep before your next drive and don’t drive when you’re feeling tired.

How tired are you? Test how tired you might be before you get behind the wheel, get some tips to help avoid driving tired, and share your results with your friends at testyourtiredself.com.au

Celebrate and socialise safely

Leave the car at home, even if you’re only having ‘a couple’. Get a lift, taxi, ride share or public transport and get home safely.

School Zones – keep our kids safe

School’s back Monday 24 April.

This means that 40km/hr school zones will be back in force before and after school.

Please slow down when you’re around schools in our local area.

When you see lights flash on the back of buses, it’s a warning that they’re dropping off or picking up children – slow down to 40km/hr and look out for our little ones!

Use a designated drop-off/pick-up area (ie. No Parking) or other safe parking spots to keep our kids safe and minimise traffic congestion.
