Stolen machineryin Brisbane

Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to the theft of machinery and equipment from two businesses in Brisbane’s south in March and April.

At approximately 3.50am on Wednesday, April 19, an excavator was stolen from a construction site on Tanzanite Street.

Investigations were conducted which lead to the location of the machine which was abandoned at a property on Bandara Street in Richlands a short time later.

At approximately 6.40pm on Wednesday, March 22, a bobcat was stolen from a business on Sweets Road in Pallara.

Investigations were conducted which lead to the location of the bobcat which was abandoned in bushland on Brookbent Road in Willawong a short time later.

Police believe the incidents are linked.

Detectives have released CCTV of a 3-5 tonne single cab flatbed truck observed in the area around the time of each incident.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the incidents is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
