Storm clean up continues over Christmas

We’re continuing to work through the thousands of requests for assistance with the safe removal of fallen or damaged trees and tree debris following the damaging storm on 29 October 2021
Our Parks and Roadsides team still have three teams working between Christmas and New Year to continue with the storm response. These teams will be responding to any immediate and high-risk works during the holidays.
Our full teams and sub-contractors will return on 5 January 2022 and continue working up to seven days a week on tree inspections and removing trees and debris from roads, driveways, parks and reserves, sporting fields, community houses and preschools.
We know our community is anxious about the pace of works and what is being done to assist with the community relief and recovery after the storm. Please know we’re doing everything we can to attend to all concerns, including engaging more contractors.
If you have contacted us with a request for assistance and have been allocated a customer request number, please follow up through our Customer Service Centres rather than raising a new case. Every single case will be attended to over the coming months and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are continuing to work alongside other land managers, including VicRoads, Parks Vic and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to protect public safety and ensure parks, foreshores and other open spaces are ready for all to enjoy.
