Strike Force Jenola formed to investigate woman’s death in North Parramatta

Police are appealing for public assistance after a woman’s body was found in a home unit at North Parramatta yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the unit on Pennant Hills Road about 4.30pm (Sunday 30 January 2022), responding to reports of a domestic violence-related incident.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command arrived to find the body of a woman inside the unit.

A crime scene was established, and specialist HAZMAT officers from Fire and Rescue NSW were called to assist at the location.

The woman is yet to be formally identified; however, her death is being treated as suspicious.

Strike Force Jenola has been formed to investigate the woman’s death and comprises detectives attached to Parramatta PAC, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Police have released a description of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being aged about 20, 175cm-180cm tall, 80kg-90kg with a muscular/athletic build. The man has black hair, a short beard and moustache.

When last seen he was wearing a black, sleeveless top and jeans. He may have scratches on his face and arms.

The man could be driving a Mitsubishi Fuso tipper truck, NSW registration MAKKAC.

Police are urging anyone who sees this man not to approach him but to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
