Table Matters exhibition opens at Living Arts Space

A new exhibition celebrating the art of dining will officially open at the Living Arts Space in the Bendigo Visitor Centre.

To celebrate the opening of Table Matters, the Visitor Centre will host an exhibition opening and Christmas shopping for the community on Thursday December 3, from 5pm to 7pm.

Numbers will be monitored at the door to ensure compliance with COVID-19 restrictions. No booking is required.

Table Matters features the work of ceramists Sharon Alpren, Cassie Hansen and Emma Jimson, who have come together with Libertine Florists to ‘set the table’ in the Living Art Space.

Visitor Services Manager Jemma Docherty said the exhibition showcased the experience and ceremony of sharing a meal.

“Table Matters features a breath-taking floral installation which sets the scene to appreciate the ceramicists’ skill in realising the texture, aesthetic and form of beautiful objects,” Ms Docherty said

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to this new exhibition and checking out the Uniquely Bendigo store to purchase some fantastic locally made Christmas presents too.”

The exhibition will run until Sunday January 31, 2021. The Living Arts Space is in the Bendigo Visitor Centre, 51-67 Pall Mall Bendigo.

Open 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week. Closed Christmas Day
