Teen stabbed at Modbury, South Australia

A teenager is in hospital after being stabbed at Modbury last night.

Patrols responded to reports of a large fight in the car park of a fast food outlet on North East Road, Modbury just before 11pm on Friday 25 June.

A 15-year-old boy had been taken to the Modbury Hospital in a critical condition with a stab wound to the abdomen. He was transferred by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he underwent surgery overnight. His condition is stable and no longer believed to be life-threatening.

Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene overnight.

Investigations into the assault are continuing and police have positive lines of inquiry.
