Wayward Taskforce detectives have charged three teenagers with more than 60 offences following a series of crimes allegedly committed across Melbourne and Lara since May.
A 17-year-old Wyndham Vale youth was charged with three counts of home invasion, three counts of theft of motor vehicle (TOMV), theft, burglary, recklessly cause injury, attempted theft of TOMV, reckless conduct endangering life and evade police.
The charges relate to:
– A Ford Ranger stolen from a Lodge Place address in Armstrong Creek about 4.30am on 2 September
– An Audi stolen and home invasion at a Darling Street address in Moonee Ponds about 3am on 3 September
– A Mercedes Benz stolen from a Marinba Street address in Lara about 5.05am on 5 September
– An assault at Sunshine Market Place on 7 September
– A Mercedes Benz stolen and home invasion at a Duncan Street address in Flemington about 6.15am on 8 September
– Attempted car theft and home invasion at a Malibu Grove address in Keilor Lodge about 7.05am on 8 September
A 16-year-old from Wyndham Vale was charged in relation to the incidents in Armstrong Creek, Moonee Ponds, Lara, Flemington, Keilor Lodge and also an assault at a Derrimut fast food outlet on 7 August.
He has been charged with four counts of TOMV, three counts of home invasion, theft, handle stolen goods, obtain property by deception, burglary, recklessly cause injury, attempted TOMV, reckless conduct endangering life, fail to stop vehicle on police request, theft of registration plates and evade police.
A 16-year-old from Wyndham Vale was charged in relation to the incidents in Lara, Flemington, Keilor Lodge and also a robbery at a phone store on Glenferrie Road in Malvern about 5pm on 4 May.
He has been charged with two counts of TOMV, two counts of home invasion, theft, burglary, three counts of commit an indictable offence while on bail, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault, attempted TOMV, reckless conduct endangering life and evade police.
All have been remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
